In this opening module, we begin with the foundation of all transformation -connection. You’ll be guided to reconnect with your breath, your essence, and the intelligence of your heart. Through this practice, you’ll learn to realign with your inner nature and experience its unity with the outer nature around you - a powerful reminder that you are not separate but part of the greater whole.
On this module, we will explore:
Meditation – cultivating presence and awareness.
Pranayama & Breathwork – reconnecting with your breath as the bridge between body, mind, and spirit.
Yoga Asanas & Alignment – grounding your practice in strength, stability, softness, and flow.
The Principles of Yin & Yang – understanding the natural rhythms of life and the power of all creation.
Balancing Masculine & Feminine Energy – finding harmony between softness and strength, receptivity and action.
Mental Exercises - balancing the yin and yang, and the masculine-feminine energy in your life.
Weaving through all of these practices is the core value of Connection. Connection will be your anchor throughout Module 1 - and the sacred opening of your journey with Living Yolates.

In this module, we connect to the core value of Love - the vibration that lives deep within you and has the possibility to expand into every part of your life. You’ll be introduced to the four pillars of Love: Forgiveness, Compassion, Gratitude, and Trust. Through guided practices, you’ll open your heart, awaken your truest inner light, and discover how Love can be your greatest teacher and guide in life.
While working with the soft strength of Love, we also connect to the concrete and powerful element of Pilates — offering a beautiful contrast between the feminine energy of softness and the masculine energy of structure and stability. Through Pilates, you’ll build strength, grounding, and confidence, learning to embody Love not only in spirit but in form.
On this module, we will explore:
Heart-Opening Meditations – connecting to your authentic essence of Love.
Breathwork Practices - balancing kidney water with heart fire for harmony and vitality.
In-Depth Pilates Introduction – learning the Pilates principles and how to embody strength, stability, softness, and confidence.
Pilates Teaching Technique - not only mastering the Pilates exercises, but also connecting beyond the physical. As we strengthen the body, we also awaken the emotional body — cultivating inner power, confidence, passion, and much more.
Mental Exercises - cultivating forgiveness, compassion, gratitude, and trust while setting healthy boundaries.

In this module, we connect to the core value of Joy - opening into the celebratory, vital, and liberating part of Living Yolates. Through dance, we create space for authentic expression, stepping fully into your light and allowing joy and pleasure to infuse your movement practice.
You’ll also explore the therapeutic and deeply healing power of dance, learning how movement can unlock emotions, restore balance, and expand your sense of freedom. This is both a personal exploration and a training in how to guide others into the same joyful liberation.
On this module, we will explore:
Breathwork Practices -reopening your inner vital force with Breath of Fire and more.
Guided Meditations - opening up to flow, freedom, and joy in your life.
Deep Movement Practices with Dance - liberating the body and spirit through authentic, expressive dance.
Teaching Guidance - learning how to hold space and guide others into joy, freedom, and celebration through dance.
Energy Work - connecting to the emotional body and releasing blockages through movement.
Mental Exercises - exploring the Tree of Life and how to open up to more vitality, joy, and freedom.
Lectures in Dance Technique - deepening your understanding of the therapeutic and healing elements of dance.
Through this module, Joy becomes your medicine - a pathway to freedom, vitality, and authentic expression that you can embody and share.

In this module, we connect to the core value of Regeneration - the deeply feminine, healing part of Living Yolates. Here we honor the life-giving principles of rest, pause, and simply being. By creating space for deep restoration, we allow the body, mind, and spirit to regenerate and realign.
This module also invites you into a deeper exploration of energy work and holistic wisdom, including the five elements of Chinese medicine, the cycles of nature, and the balance of yin and yang. It is a journey of returning to softness, presence, and wholeness.
On this module, we will explore:
Restorative Breathwork - practices to deeply restore and revitalize your system.
Meditations - opening to the wisdom of your energetic centers, connecting to the chakras, and healing the inner child.
Restorative Movement Practices - including chakra work and Soft Yolates for grounding and renewal.
Guest Teachers - inspiring voices from the holistic field, sharing wisdom on meridian lines, emotional connections to the organs, and the cycles of nature.
The Five Elements of Chinese Medicine - exploring how the elements move through us and how to restore balance.
Balancing Yin & Yang - learning to navigate the dance of opposites within yourself and life.
Trauma Healing Lectures - gaining deeper insight into trauma and pathways to healing.
Mental Exercises - working with regeneration, the chakras, and practices to support inner renewal.
Through this module, Regeneration becomes an essential part of your life, revealing itself as the missing link in our society. We start to realize that this is what can create true harmony. As the outer world is too focused on performance and outcome, we begin to see that by inviting more regeneration into our lives, true harmony and flow will naturally arise.

Life Courage invites you to rise above fear, hopelessness, and doubt, and instead cultivate hope, resilience, and inner strength. It is about remembering that you already carry the power to live your truth and share it with the world.
On this module, we will explore:
Breathwork Practices - going deeper into the circular breath to expand energy and awaken courage.
Meditation & Mantra Singing - centering the mind, opening the heart, and learning to make the impossible possible.
Movement Sessions - embodying life courage through expansive, freeing practices that inspire authenticity and empowerment.
Energy Work & Chinese Medicine - integrating the five elements into daily life, and learning to align with the natural rhythms of the seasons.
Inspirational Lectures - exploring how energy work and the cycles of nature can guide you into greater courage and flow.
Mental Exercises - reclaiming your power, bringing it back home, and aligning with what matters most.
Guest Teachers & Reflexology - discovering the feet as the foundation for all transformation in Living Yolates. You will also receive a full reflexology course to support your practice and teaching.
Through this module, Life Courage becomes a living force within you - empowering you to act from the heart, trust your inner wisdom, and move forward with authenticity, freedom, and strength.

In this module, we open to the core value of Synchronicity — allowing yourself to surrender into the flow of life, trusting in the timing of your dreams and wishes, and aligning with your unique path and journey.
This is also the moment where all elements of Living Yolates merge into one holistic movement practice. Yoga, Pilates, Dance, and Energy Work weave together in a meditative and dancing flow.
On this module, we will explore:
Breathwork - aligning your body and spirit with synchronicity and universal flow.
Movement Sessions -inspiring synchronicity, intuition, and expansion through movement.
Meditation Practices - opening to synchronicity and strengthening intuition.
Mental Exercises - becoming more clear about your passion and purpose.
Lectures on Program Building - learning to create your own Living Yolates classes and flows, guided by the Living Yolates Melody.
Teaching Techniques - expanding your ability to teach through all senses, endurance, holding space, and more.
Bonus Course - Prenatal Yolates: an inspirational course on how to share Living Yolates practices with women during pregnancy.

At the heart of Unity is the circle: where every voice matters, where each person brings their unique gift, and where together we honor the wholeness of life and our connection to nature. This module is also a celebration - of all the previous modules, of your journey, and of the moment where everything comes together into one holistic practice and philosophy. Mikkala Marilyn Kissi
Founder of Living Yolates
Mikkala lives in Copenhagen with her husband Benjamin Kissi and their two children. Benjamin is the co-creator behind the Living Yolates Online Teacher Training and the creative force behind the music, sound, visual identity, and video production. With his passion for music, holistic living, and sound healing, he brings a unique dimension to the Living Yolates universe. Together, they create the possibility for students around the world to join the teacher training online and experience Living Yolates as a holistic journey for body, mind, and soul.
Mikkala Merylin Kissi is the visionary founder of Living Yolates, a holistic movement method that unites yoga, Pilates, dance, energy work, and mindfulness into a practice for body, heart, and soul. With a background as a professional dancer, yoga and Pilates instructor, certified nutrition therapist, kinesiologist, and body master, she has dedicated her life to helping others connect deeply to their body, heart, and spirit — and to come back into alignment with nature.
Her journey began as a professional dancer and Pilates teacher, but her deep curiosity for the human spirit led her to explore yoga teacher trainings, meditation, nutrition, body therapy, and energy practices from around the world.
Living Yolates was born from Mikkala’s desire to weave together strength and softness, body and spirit, intuition and presence — creating a method that inspires people to live with joy, love, and life courage. More than movement, it is a philosophy rooted in the belief that all change begins within and that, together, we can shape a brighter future with more connection and unity.
